You do not want to miss out on this amazing opportunity, educators!
NASA’s Next Gen STEM project in partnership with USDA Forest Service is offering K-12 organizations located in the contiguous United States an opportunity to apply to own their very own Moon Tree seedling!
What is a Moon Tree seedling?
Artemis I’s Orion space capsule carried nearly 2,000 tree seedlings to the Moon and back. And now, education and community organizations are invited to submit a proposal for an Artemis Moon Tree Seedling through NASA’s Artifacts Module Program.
Visit NASA’s Artifact Module website to begin the process of applying for a seedling by creating an account. If you don’t have a NASA ID, you will need to create a NASA Guest account. Registration is required for potential recipients through NASA Gateway or NASA CONNECTS.
Moon Trees’ team and USDA Forest Service evaluate your application to determine whether you will be able to host a successful seedling. You won’t be able choose the type of seedling tree, as the Forest Service decides based on geographical location.
