It’s easy to create a cardboard flower from a toilet paper roll! Create a bunch of them and use as Easter egg holders.
Toilet paper rolls are great for crafts!
You can upcycle cardboard rolls to create the cutest tulip-shaped flowers with craft paint, scissors, and glue. You probably already have all the materials you need at home, so it’s a no-cost or low-cost activity.
Now is the time to start saving your cardboard rolls, so you and your family members can make these tulips.
I can’t get over how adorable this tulip craft turns out!
They can be used as a centerpiece, or to hold Easter eggs. The tulips are the perfect size to hold an egg and kids can paint them. The result is an uplifting group of tulips which makes a great Spring decor.
DIY Tulip Cardboard Flowers
1
A toilet paper roll can be flattened. Trace a tulip shape using a pencil. Make sure that the upper side of the flowers and leaves is on the crease.
2
Cut out the flower shape.
3
Paint the stems green and the flowers vibrant tulip colours. Let them dry. Use them to display Easter eggs or decorate your table!
Tips for making this paper craft flower:
- You can make it easier by cutting out a template of a rose and tracing that onto other paper rolls.
- I would add Mod Podge, glitter and other embellishments to the flower section.
- These would make great place cards for an Easter dinner. Just add a name in marker on the flowers.
Tulip crafts are easy to do!
Add these to your Spring activities as they are a perfect way to get crafty with something you’d ordinarily throw away. They were fun to make and I’m sure you will enjoy them too.
